KINGS, QUEENS, & IN-BETWEENS is a documentary on drag queens, kings, transgender performers, and the issue of gender expression.
We have 6 days to go on our kickstarter campaign to help finish our documentary KINGS, QUEENS, & IN-BETWEENS — we are 70% funded! Please help us get the word out about KQIB & reach our goal — post, tweet, blog, and e-mail about KQIB to people who want to support a film that will help raise understanding and fight intolerance.
Awesome interview with Kings, Queens, and In-Betweens director/producer Gabrielle Burton plus two of my co-starts Liz Balk and Andrew Levitt. Be sure to catch the awesome conversation about feminism and drag at the end.
For your glitter sex parties. For your ability to self-identity. For you to be femme trans men. For you to have GAY RIGHTS!!!! and to even have national conversations about ~marriage equality~ as shitty as they both are. We died to give you life, a voice, a fucking megaphone…
so… my classmate (who is a genuinely nice guy) just asked me why I wasn’t at the recent HRC Gala, where he expected to see me. I answered with a 10 minute lecture about the good, but relatively unproductive intentions of the classist, normative system that is local gay organizing and the resulting exclusion of trans* communities. Poor guy, I think my intensity freaked him out a little. In my defense, I just ate a lot of sugary cookies… so really, totally not my fault.
Here we are again! Winter is on it’s way out, and I’m getting ready to SPRING into action with activisty presentations, performances, workshops, and more. Spots are already filling up, so don’t wait! Visit the Booking Page for more info or reference the ad below. Maybe this year, you and I can tip-toe through the trans* tulips together!
OMG Just got a call from the American Counseling Association’s LGBT group ALGBTIC. My baby, aka my org MTQWI, has been chosen for their Joe Norton award. HUGE DEAL! OMG! Incredible to think that my one-human organization can be fancy like that!!
